Retirement doesn't even seem to be on the radar for Carson Palmer ahead of his 14th NFL season.

As the Arizona Cardinals quarterback reports for training camp with the rest of his teammates, getting set for a season in which he'll turn 37, the daily grind remains every bit as rewarding.

"I still love it," Palmer said, according to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN. "I still love that stuff. I love Mondays and Tuesdays, getting game plans and breaking down other teams and watching their quarterbacks. All that stuff is still not work to me."

Players that find themselves on the wrong side of 30, let alone those sticking around long enough to be closing in on 40, typically start to see their bodies wear down.

Though Palmer's career injuries now include a pair of ACL tears, he doesn't appear to be anticipating any sort of limitations in the near future.

"I feel as good as I've felt ever," he said.

Palmer has undoubtedly been playing the best football of his career since joining the Cardinals in a trade from the Oakland Raiders in 2013.

The most impressive showing came just last year, as the veteran signal-caller racked up 4,671 yards and 35 touchdowns last season while leading Arizona to its first division title since 2009.

Healthy and once again at the helm of a supremely talented Cardinals offense, Palmer enters the upcoming season looking to capitalize on what may be his best opportunity at raising the Lombardi Trophy.
