Buccaneers' Robert Ayers: Used in multiple spots on D-line in Friday practice
Ayers, an important free-agent acquistion this offseason, was deployed in multiple roles on the defensive line in Friday's practice, the team's official site reports.
Analysis:
Kania reports that Ayers primarily slotted in his customary starting right defensive end spot during Friday's session, but also moved inside next to Gerald McCoy in a special pass-rush package. That personnel grouping also featured Noah Spence and Jacquies Smith as the defensive ends, a scheme that would feature four players with considerable pass-rushing acumen on the field for throwing downs.
