Chicago Bears rookie linebacker Leonard Floyd was carted to the locker room during the first practice of training camp Thursday, according to multiple reports.

A reason for his early exit hasn't been given, but the Bears will likely provide an update at the conclusion of the team session.

Floyd, who was selected with the ninth overall pick in this year's draft, entered his first training camp with the opportunity to carve out a primary role on a suddenly deep Bears front seven.

The 23-year-old is making the jump to the NFL after three years at Georgia, in which he racked up 17 sacks and 26.5 tackles for loss.
