Josh Doctson will have to wait before he sees his first reps in an NFL training camp.

The Washington Redskins' rookie wideout has been placed on the physically unable to perform list with an Achilles injury that forced him to miss time in the spring.

Doctson's injury isn't thought to be serious, as a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport suggests that his stint on the sidelines is expected to be short.

The Redskins have indicated that they'd bring him along slowly heading into the summer, though, and the roster move corresponds with that line of thinking.

Doctson will continue his rehab when his teammates take to the practice field for the first time Thursday, and he can be activated at any point in the days or weeks that follow.

Also starting camp on the PUP list are tight end Derek Carrier, linebacker Perry Riley Jr., guard Shawn Lauvao, and wide receiver Reggie Diggs.

Veteran linebacker Junior Galette, who recently suffered a torn Achilles for the second time in as many years, was placed on the non-football injury list.
