Cleveland Browns defensive end Armonty Bryant is facing further discipline after a misdemeanor drug conviction Wednesday, reports Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

Bryant has already been suspended the first four games of the 2016 season due to violating the NFL's performance enhancing drug policy.

The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to an attempted drug possession misdemeanor stemming from a Christmas morning arrest. Bryant was arrested with former Browns teammate De'Ante Sanders, who plead not guilty to a suspicion of drunk driving charge.

Bryant, who was already on probation for a marijuana charge, received a sentence of 68 days probation (which will end on the same day as his current four-game suspension), a $1,000 fine, and a suspended 180-day jail sentence.

The attempted drug possession misdemeanor was reduced from the original charge for felony drug possession after Adderall and Oxycodone were found in Saunders car Christmas morning.

An NFL spokesman said the league will review the matter under all relevant policies, while the Browns plan to address the situation at a press conference Thursday.

Bryant has spent his entire three-year career with the Browns, making 40 tackles and 5 1/2 sacks last season.
