49ers' Torrey Smith: Enters camp as No.1 on depth chart

Smith enters training camp as 49ers' top receiving option, CSN Bay Area reports.

Analysis:

This news should come as no surprise, as Smith has the most NFL experience and production of any of the wideouts on San Francisco's roster. He turned in a fairly disappointing 2015, finishing with a career-low 663 yards to go along with four touchdowns. While unspectacular, the numbers were accomplished on a 49ers team that had a stagnant offense, so his career-best 20.1 YPC could point towards a bounce-back season with a faster-paced Chip Kelly offense in 2016.
