Chiefs' Aaron Murray: In open competition for backup job

Murray will enter training camp as one of three quarterbacks (along with Tyler Bray and Kevin Hogan) in competition for the backup job.

Analysis:

Murray and Bray both took some reps as the No. 2 quarterback during minicamp, putting the two in position as the favorites for the backup job ahead of the rookie signal-caller (Hogan). However, it's unlikely Hogan will be given the boot in his first season, making it plausible either Murray or Bray wind up the odd man out after losing the competition.
