The Seattle Seahawks have reached an agreement with head coach Pete Carroll on a contract extension through the 2019 season, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The deal was expected after the Seahawks reportedly extended general manager John Schneider on Sunday to make him one of the NFL's highest-paid GMs.

Carroll is the NFL's oldest coach at 64. He's coached the Seahawks since 2010, missing the playoffs just once and appearing in two Super Bowls. He has a 60-36 record with three division title through six seasons in Seattle.

Carroll has previous head coaching experience with USC (2001-2009), the New England Patriots (1997-1999), and New York Jets (1994).
