Bengals' Rey Maualuga: Placed of NFI list

Maualuga was placed on the active/non-football injury list.

Analysis:

The injury itself was undisclosed, but Maualuga is not expected to miss much time because of it. The starting middle linebacker didn't practice during the spring, but can return to the field as soon as he is medically cleared. Reports say he could return to practice as soon as Friday.
