Cowboys' Charles Brown announces retirement

Veteran offensive tackle Charles Brown announced his retirement from the NFL after six seasons Tuesday.

Brown, 29, spent the 2015 season with the Dallas Cowboys as a game-day third tackle, starting one game while appearing in 15.

He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the second round in 2010 and played four seasons for the team, starting 22 games.

Brown's 2016 roster spot with the Cowboys was not guaranteed.
