Kansas City Chiefs pass-rusher Justin Houston is not expected to participate in training camp, according to head coach Andy Reid.

When asked if Houston, who is recovering from an ACL injury, would participate in Chiefs camp, Reid said "I don't think that will happen," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

There was some fear that Houston could miss the 2016 season after undergoing surgery in February, but general manager John Dorsey said in April that team doctors assured he would play.

His initial recovery time was announced as 6-to-12 months, depending on the rehab process.

Houston played through injuries last season, registering seven-and-a-half sacks through 11 games. The 27-year-old had a career-high 22 sacks in 2014.
