Bengals' Tyler Eifert: Placed on Active/PUP list

Eifert (ankle) has been placed on the active/PUP list, ESPN's Coley Harvey reports.

Analysis:

Eifert underwent ankle surgery May 27, with his recovery timetable estimated at three months. Though reportedly progressing as expected, he still figures to miss most (or all) of training camp, and he may not be ready for the start of the season. Tyler Kroft is the clear favorite to start at tight end if Eifert is absent.
