Redskins' Keith Marshall: Unlikely to threaten Matt Jones

Marshall probably won't be a serious threat to Matt Jones' workload, according to ESPN's John Keim.

Analysis:

Not your typical seventh-round rookie, Marshall led all running backs at the Combine in both the 40-yard dash (4.31) and bench press (25 reps), also checking in with ideal size (5-11, 219). His college track record is the drawback, as knee injuries and talented teammates combined to keep him off the field for most of his time at UGA. While Marshall could instantly compete for a reserve role in an unproven Washington backfield, the team has strongly suggested that Matt Jones is slated for the lead-back job.
