Report: Anquan Boldin to sign 1-year deal with Lions
Veteran wide receiver Anquan Boldin plans to sign a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The three-time Pro Bowler will join Golden Tate and fellow free-agent acquisition Marvin Jones in a revamped Lions receiving corps that will be without Calvin Johnson for the first time in a decade.
The 35-year-old's best days are certainly behind him, but he still has value as a possession receiver.
With the San Francisco 49ers last season, Boldin caught 69 passes for 789 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games despite dealing with shaky quarterback play.
A potential Hall of Famer when he retires, Boldin has amassed more than 1,000 catches for more than 13,000 yards in his 13-year career.
