Vikings' Laquon Treadwell: Fully healthy after playing hurt last year

Treadwell said he was never fully healthy last season at Mississippi but is at full speed heading into training camp. "I wasn't 100 percent in anything I did from the beginning of spring ball (in 2015) to pro day (at Mississippi on March 28). I was playing on one leg my whole junior season. Last year wasn't fun going out and being hurt and trying to play," he told the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Analysis:

Treadwell broke his left tibia and dislocated his left ankle in a gruesome injury in a Nov. 1, 2014 game. He came back to catch 82 passes for 1,153 yards and 11 touchdowns last season at Mississippi in his first season back from the injury. He also ran a disappointing 40-yard dash in 4.63 seconds, but was still the 23rd overall pick in the 2016 draft. If Treadwell wasn't at full speed last year, that suggests he has more potential than his play last year showed. He'll need to earn a starting job this summer, but it's expected he'll begin the season as the No. 2 receiver.
