Saints' Terron Armstead: Set to start camp on PUP

Armstead (undisclosed) will begin training camp on the Saints' active/PUP list with an injury not deemed to be significant, ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Armstead dealt with knee issues in 2015, but had participated in most of the Saints' offseason program, leaving the reason for his placement on the PUP list a mystery to those outside of New Orleans. Nevertheless, his injury is reportedly insignificant, and thus Armstead should report to camp sooner rather than later. A young cornerstone in the Saints' high-octane offense, Armstead graded out as PFF's third-rated offensive tackle in 2015. Specifically notable, he didn't earn a negative grade in any single game throughout the entire campaign. When cleared for activity, Armstead is locked-in as Drew Brees' blind-side guardian.
