Packers' Ty Montgomery: Placed on PUP list
The Packers placed Montgomery (ankle) on the PUP list Monday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:
Upon the conclusion of the offseason program, Montgomery hadn't received medical clearance from the ankle surgery that forced a premature end to his rookie campaign. His subsequent placement on the PUP list is worrisome, to say the least, but if he attains a level of health agreeable to team doctors, he'll be able to enter the competition for the third wideout role behind Jordy Nelson (knee) and Randall Cobb.
