49ers' Colin Kaepernick: Will have to surpass Blaine Gabbert during training camp

Kaepernick's teammate, Blaine Gabbert, is the early front-runner for the starting quarterback job heading into training camp, CSN Bay Area.

Analysis:

This shouldn't come as a big surprise as Gabbert has been healthy during the team's OTAs and minicamp, as opposed to Kaepernick, who has been rehabbing his surgically-repaired shoulder. Kaepernick still has a good shot to win the job if he enters training camp healthy and performs well during the preseason. This will be the position battle to watch leading up to the season as it will have the biggest fantasy impact.
