More details are emerging in relation to a woman's accusation that Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott abused her.

Tiffany Thompson posted photos on Instagram on Friday showing bruises she insinuated were the result of domestic violence at the hands of Elliott.

Thompson also filed a police report alleging the rookie tailback assaulted her in a vehicle. Police questioned Elliott and four witnesses, all of whom stated they did not see Elliott assault Thompson, and no arrests were made.

A representative for Elliott told TMZ Sports that the allegations against the rookie are unfounded. Elliott told police that Thompson's injuries were the result of a fight with another woman.

The Cowboys themselves believe Elliott to be innocent, Clarence Hill of the Star-Telegram reports, citing a source.

The accuser dated Elliott but the relationship has ended, Hill adds. The woman threatened to "ruin" Elliott if he broke off the relationship, according to Hill.

Mike Leslie of WFAA in Dallas cites a high-ranking Cowboys source as saying Elliott has messages on his phone that show Thompson is attempting to frame him.

The police report was forwarded to the prosecutor's office and the NFL is also conducting its own investigation.
