Report: Arian Foster scheduled to work out for Dolphins, Lions

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Free-agent running back Arian Foster is scheduled to work out for the Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions next week, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Foster visited the Dolphins in March, leaving unsigned as the veteran decided to weigh his options as the offseason progressed.

After suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon in October, Foster was released by the Houston Texans in March.

Set to turn 30 prior to the season, Foster still has a lot to offer when healthy. Prior to going down in 2015, he tallied 390 total yards and three touchdowns in four games.

How well Foster has recovered from the difficult injury is unknown, so a signing may not materialize until training camp has concluded.
