Osweiler: Hopkins can catch anything as long as you put it in bounds

It didn't take very long for Brock Osweiler to figure out who his No. 1 target will be with the Houston Texans.

DeAndre Hopkins has been one of the most unguardable receivers in the league over the past two seasons, racking up 2,731 yards in that span without a steady quarterback.

Now that Osweiler has arrived to be the franchise pass-thrower, he's quickly picked up on Hopkins' abilities in offseason workouts and expects to have a productive relationship on the field.

"With him, I don't know if there's anything that's not catchable as long as you put it in bounds," Osweiler told Eric Prisbell of USA TODAY Sports. "That's very comforting as a quarterback. He's always saying, 'Just throw it up; I'll go get it.'"

Hopkins is hoping to see less double and triple coverage this season with the additions of rookie receivers Will Fuller and Braxton Miller. The fourth-year pro has also been impressed with Osweiler, mostly due to his leadership and intangible qualities.

"Coming out there wanting to be great and holding everyone accountable," Hopkins said about Osweiler's leadership.
