Cincinnati Bengals rookie cornerback Corey Tindal was robbed at gunpoint during a poker game in a motel early Wednesday morning, Paul Dehner of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports, citing an incident report from the Cabell County Sheriff's Department.

The police report said cash and merchandise valued at more than $4,000 was stolen by a man with a semi-automatic pistol who was part of the game.

The man allegedly hit Tindal over the head multiple times with the barrel of his pistol before multiple suspects fled with the cash and other personal effects.

Tindal, a Marshall product, was signed by the Bengals after being invited to a rookie tryout during minicamp, and is expected to join the team during training camp in late July.
