The Super Bowl MVP isn't going anywhere.

Von Miller and the Denver Broncos agreed to a six-year contract extension just hours ahead of Friday's negotiation deadline, the team announced.

Official terms of the agreement weren't disclosed, but Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports Miller's new deal is worth $114.5 million and includes $70 million in total guarantees, a new record for non-quarterbacks.

Miller also receives a $23-million signing bonus and $42 million fully guaranteed at the time of signing, notes Rapoport.

The most important piece of Denver's league-best defense is finally now back in the fold, and the team will head into training camp later this month having avoided the potential distraction of a lengthy holdout.

Miller enters his sixth season coming off a 2015 campaign in which he racked up a double-digit sack total for the fourth time in his career. Maintaining the consistent level of regular-season production already had him in line for a megadeal, but his playoff performances virtually guaranteed that a record-breaking payday was on the horizon.

First, Miller took matters into his own hands in an AFC Championship Game win over the New England Patriots. Not only did he tally 2.5 sacks of Tom Brady, but his interception later converted into a touchdown would prove to be the difference in a low-scoring affair.

The Carolina Panthers were also helpless in attempting to slow him down on football's biggest stage, as Miller's MVP performance included 2.5 sacks and two crucial forced fumbles.

Miller now owns 6.5 sacks in seven career playoff contests to go with the 60 quarterback takedowns across 72 regular-season games.
