Bengals' Tyler Boyd: Could be in starting lineup for regular season

Boyd could secure a spot as one of the Bengals' starting wide receivers this season, Coley Harvey of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

The Bengals' wide receiving corps will look a lot different this season, due in large part to the departure of veteran wideouts Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu, who both left in free agency earlier in the offseason. Boyd, a second-round draft pick, has progressed nicely through OTAs and can expect to be in a contributing role this season according to the Bengals' staff. Receivers coach James Urban commented, "We're excited to see him and how he'll contribute to what we're going to do -- because he will. He's going to help us." Thus the rookie will look to compete with the likes of Brandon LaFell and Brandon Tate for reps behind All-Pro wideout A.J. Green.
