Colts' Andrew Luck: Signs through 2021 season

Luck has signed a deal with the Colts to remain with the team through the 2021 season.

Analysis:

Luck, who was slated to earn $16,155,000 in 2016, gets another five years tacked onto his deal, thus solidifying the Colts' QB situation for the foreseeable future. Luck, who threw an NFL-leading 40 TD passes in 2014, missed nine games last season with various injuries, but now that he's healthy again, he's a prime bounce-back candidate this year. With the team's nucleus of pass-catchers (WRs T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief and Phillip Dorsett, along with TE Dwayne Allen) all 26 years old, or younger, Luck and the Indy offense as a whole should benefit from the upside and continuity the aforementioned quartet brings to the table.
