The Seattle Seahawks have signed wide receiver Doug Baldwin to a four-year contract extension, the team confirmed Tuesday.

The deal is worth $46 million, with $24.25 million guaranteed, according to Ed Werder of ESPN. At $11.75 million per season, Baldwin becomes the seventh-highest paid receiver in the NFL in terms of average annual salary.

The contract is a lucrative one for a player signed as an undrafted free agent in 2011 and was inked to a three-year, $13-million deal in 2014.

Baldwin is coming off a breakout 2015 campaign in which he caught a league-leading 14 touchdowns. The fifth-year pro also went over 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career.

The move means the Seahawks have locked up their top pass-catcher through the 2020 season, an important step in keeping together the core group that brought them to back-to-back Super Bowls.

Baldwin's production remained steady in 2015, until an offensive explosion from Week 12-16 saw him catch 29 passes for 484 yards and 11 touchdowns.
