Johnny Manziel's defense lawyer, Bob Hinton, has withdrawn from Manziel's service after accidentally sending texts to The Associated Press regarding his client's domestic violence case and his issues with drugs, Manziel's publicist announced Monday.

In the texts, Bob Hinton said Manziel will be seeking a plea deal in his domestic violence case stemming from an incident with his ex-girlfriend, as well as stating that if the former Cleveland Browns quarterback was asked to undergo a drug test, he'd likely fail.

Hinton also revealed that Manziel had spent more than $1,000 at a drug paraphernalia shop 15 hours after a hit-and-run incident the troubled passer was involved in last Monday.

Manziel's lead attorney, Jim Darnell, reiterated that his client will plead not guilty to the domestic violence allegation.
