The NFL has informed the NFLPA that it will interview the players linked to performance-enhancing drug use by an Al Jazeera America report on the first day of training camp, Tom Pelissero of USA TODAY Sports reports.

Those players include Green Bay Packers linebackers Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers, and Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison.

Former Packers linebacker Mike Neal, currently a free agent, will reportedly be interviewed on or before July 22.

Pelissero obtained a letter from Adolpho Birch, the league's senior vice president of labor policy and league affairs, which both specified the interview dates and chastised the NFLPA for "delay and avoidance" of previous attempts to organize them.

Peyton Manning, who was also named in the Al Jazeera report and retired earlier this year, was not identified as a player the league plans to interview. A source told Pelissero that investigation is still underway.

The allegations of PED use were made by Charles Sly, a former intern at an anti-aging clinic, who has since recanted his claims.
