Oakland Raiders edge rusher Aldon Smith will be arraigned on a violation of probation from a prior conviction Friday, CSN Bay Area reports.

Smith was already scheduled to be in court Friday to argue in favor of suppressing evidence stemming from a 2015 DUI, vandalism, and hit-and-run incident.

It's unclear what the violation of probation is related to at this time.

Smith is currently serving a one-year suspension that doesn't allow for reinstatement until November. The former 19.5-sack star signed a two-year contract to stay with the Raiders in April.

In nine games prior to the implementation of his suspension in 2015, Smith tallied 28 tackles and 3.5 sacks for the Raiders.
