Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell is relishing the prospect of a NFC Championship Game rematch against the Carolina Panthers.

The Cardinals were routed 49-15 by the Panthers in their worst game of the season, after winning the NFC West with a 13-3 record.

Campbell and the Cardinals are reeling from the blowout loss, and will be looking for revenge when the two teams square off in Week 8.

"I marked it on my calendar. Week 8 is going to be a big week for us because Carolina, we owe them one," Campbell said to NFL.com's Tyler Dragon. "You don't want to play your worst game on championship Sunday. It kind of hurts."

Campbell said the harrowing less is being used as fuel for a Super Bowl run, with the Cardinals entering the 2016 campaign as a leading candidate.

"As much as it hurts, we just use it as motivation. I'm working very hard this offseason trying to redeem myself and make a run for it," Campbell explained. "We got so close. We see that possibility. We see what it can be if we just work a little bit harder, a little more discipline (and) a little more focused. So this year is going to be fun. We got big goals once again."

With the Cardinals beginning to pick themselves up following a devastating defeat, the Oct. 30 matchup between the two NFC finalists will be appointment viewing.
