Bills' Pegula says team will 'look into' building new stadium

Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula has not committed to building a new stadium, yet, but admitted Wednesday it's something the organization is considering.

"We'll look into that," Pegula told WGR 550 when asked about his stadium intentions. "We're a different market than (Los Angeles), right?"

Pegula, alluding to Buffalo's small market status, appears to be mulling the pros and cons of renovating the 43-year-old Ralph Wilson Stadium or building a new stadium, perhaps in the city's downtown.

With the NFL and multiple owners recently publicly pushing for the Bills to build a new stadium, the organization is feeling pressure to stay in line with the rest of the state-of-the-art stadiums the league has to offer. Pegula, however, is preaching patience after the team put $130 million into upgrades on the Ralph in 2014.

"I think they (other owners) think we need a new stadium, that's where they're coming from," Pegula said. "You listen to that and you make your own judgment. Our stadium is one of the older venues in the league, if not the oldest."

"We're not going to make any hasty decisions," Pegula continued. "We're evaluating."
