Report: Foster expects to be ready for training camp

The most notable name on the free-agent market may soon be healthy enough to start fielding offers.

Veteran running back Arian Foster, who's spent the offseason working his way back from a torn Achilles, expects to recover in time for training camp next month, a source told Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

Foster would be required to pass a physical with any team that brings him in for a visit. There already seems to be some interest in anticipation of him reaching such a level, though, as Fowler's report indicates at least three teams have reached out of late.

Staying healthy remains imperative for the 29-year-old who looks to recapture the level of play that's long earned him a spot among the NFL's elite backs.

Foster received a fourth career Pro Bowl nod after racking up 1,236 yards and eight touchdowns in the season prior to his injury-shortened 2015 campaign.
