Colts' Josh Ferguson: Making strong impression

Ferguson has made a strong impression in offseason workouts, the Indianapolis Star reports "[He's] not just a third-down back," head coach Chuck Pagano said. "He's a good runner. He's explosive and twitchy and he's got a jump cut that's really, really good."

Analysis:

The Star also reports the Colts considered taking Ferguson in the fourth round of the draft but passed on him each round due to other needs. He'll compete for the backup role to Frank Gore in training camp, competing against Robert Turbin, Jordan Todman and Tyler Varga. Ferguson was a productive receiver in college, so he has upside if he can find a regular role.
