Chargers' Chris Watt: Undergoes knee surgery
Watt underwent arthroscopic knee surgery earlier in June and could miss the start of the regular season, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Analysis:
While the recovery timetable doesn't appear to be strenuous, it's yet another setback for the third-year pro, who has been stifled by a litany of injuries throughout much of his career. Considering the Chargers added two centers -- free agent Matt Slauson and 2016 third-round pick Max Tuerk -- during the offseason, Watt could become a roster spot casualty should he not take the field during training camp.
