The New England Patriots will field the league's scariest tight end duo next season after trading for Martellus Bennett to play alongside Rob Gronkowski.

Bennett spent the last four seasons as his team's No. 1 option at his position, whether it be with the New York Giants or the Chicago Bears. In New England, Bennett will take a backseat to his four-time All-Pro teammate, something he's looking forward to.

"I'm super excited about it because it takes a little pressure off of me too," Bennett told ESPN's "First Take," according to Phil Perry of CSNNE.com. "I really don't mind being Robin, you know? So right now it's just working every day and just trying to get better. He's an excellent player, and I'm gonna be able to get a lot of single coverages with him."

Bennett took a similar role in his first four seasons in the NFL, playing behind Jason Witten with the Dallas Cowboys. He's enjoying his relationship with Gronk, comparing it to other receiving duos he's played with through his eight-year career.

"Rob is awesome. I love being with him in the meeting rooms and talking to him about football," Bennett said. "We've been coaching each other up, teaching each other. I saw Brandon (Marshall) and Alshon (Jeffery) work together a lot, like how they pushed each other to become better. I saw (Terrell Owens) with Miles Austin early on in his career. So for me I kind of take that saw approach with Rob. It's just like two guys, two bros, just trying to push each other to get better."

With Bennett and Gronkowski at its disposal, the Patriots' offense will be difficult to predict and even more challenging to stop.
