Broncos' Latimer arrested for unpaid traffic ticket

Denver Broncos wide receiver Cody Latimer was arrested Monday for failing to pay a year-old traffic ticket, after police responded to a domestic disturbance call from the 23-year-old, according to 9News.

Latimer spent Monday night in Arapahoe County Jail and was released Tuesday morning after paying a $311.50 fine. The Broncos receiver was originally issued a ticket for improper lighting on his vehicle/trailer in March 2015, and failed to attend his April court date.

Police were originally called to the home when Latimer reported that his girlfriend "put his hands on him." When the officers ran background checks on the receiver and his girlfriend, Jaimee Rando, the unpaid ticket was discovered and Latimer was arrested.

Rando was also arrested and bailed out by Latimer on Tuesday afternoon.

Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak said Latimer's absence from his team's Tuesday practice was for "personal reasons." The young receiver took responsibilities for his actions with an Instagram post Tuesday evening.
