Report: Cowboys' Ronald Leary has requested trade

Dallas Cowboys guard Ronald Leary has requested a trade and hasn't been present during the team's offseason activities, a source told Todd Archer of ESPN.

Leary signed his restricted free-agent tender in the offseason hoping Dallas would move him to a team lacking starting offensive linemen.

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones admitted the team was fielding offers for the veteran prior to the draft, but no deal was consummated.

Leary started 31 games for the Cowboys between 2013-14 but was replaced as the full-time starter last season by rookie standout La'el Collins. If he isn't moved, Leary will compete for a backup job with fellow veteran Joe Looney.

The Titans lost starting left guard Byron Bell for the season on Tuesday, so Tennessee is a possible destination for Leary.
