Larry Fitzgerald: 'No idea' if 2016 will be my last season

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald had a resurgent season in 2015, reminding the NFL he still has plenty left in the tank.

The 32-year-old put together his first 1,000-yard season since 2011, catching 109 passes for 1,215 yards and nine touchdowns.

Despite his return to form, questions remain about Fitzgerald possibly heading into retirement in the near future. He's previously linked his future to that of 36-year-old Carson Palmer - presumably to avoid suffering through any more turbulent quarterback situations - but remained coy when asked Tuesday if this coming season could be his last.

"Honestly, I have no idea," Fitzgerald said, according to Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site. "I really don’t look at it like that. I look at it as a day-to-day. I feel good every day, waking up and going to practice. Last year I was able to stay healthy. That puts you in a different state of mind when you are able to get up and do everything you are capable of doing."

The Cardinals will play the New England Patriots in their season opener, but are slated to face Jimmy Garoppolo, not Tom Brady, due to the latter's four-game suspension being reinstated.

Fitzgerald has no problems with the four-time Super Bowl champion being on the sidelines for their game.

"C'mon man. I think that's a pretty easy question to answer," Fitzgerald said, according to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN. "I love Tom. That's my man but if he doesn't play I wouldn't shed any tears. I'd love to see him back the next week though."
