Tennessee Titans offensive lineman Byron Bell will miss the entire 2016 season after suffering a dislocated ankle at OTAs Tuesday, head coach Mike Mularkey announced, according to Jason Wolf of The Tennessean.

It's a significant loss for the Titans, as Bell was expected to compete for a starting job on what could be one of the NFL's weakest offensive lines.

The versatile veteran was the only Titans offensive lineman to start in all 16 games last season. He started seven games at left guard, eight at right tackle and one at left tackle.

The Titans' selection of right tackle Jack Conklin in the first round of this year's draft shored up that position, but Bell was perhaps the leader to start at guard opposite Chance Warmack.

Now, the Titans will likely be forced to start second-year lineman Jeremiah Poutasi and rookie Sebastian Tretola at guard.
