Jaguars' Jalen Ramsey: Expected back for camp

Ramsey (knee) is expected to be ready for training camp, as his torn meniscus merely needed to be trimmed, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.

Analysis:

Ramsey's partially torn meniscus turned out to be an easy fix, and while he may be limited for the start of camp, he'll likely have plenty of time to prepare for Week 1. It's unclear how Jacksonville plans to use the No. 5 overall draft pick, but it's safe to assume he'll have a key role if he's healthy. Ramsey is capable of playing both safety and corner -- the former seems to be a bigger area of need in Jacksonville. If he were to work as an every-down safety, Ramsey would likely be a useful IDP option from the get-go.
