The Green Bay Packers can be added to the increasingly long list of teams making a bid to host the main event of the NFL offseason.

While the club has been passed over in both 2017 and 2018, Packers president Mark Murphy told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that Green Bay is in the mix for the 2019 NFL Draft.

Green Bay is one of the league's smaller media markets, but the ongoing development of "Titletown District" around Lambeau Field could provide the necessary facilities to host the draft.

And given the historic appeal of the area, the league should certainly be intrigued by the possibility.

Locations for the 2017 and 2018 drafts have still not yet been announced. Among those under consideration at this week's owners meetings are Philadelphia, Denver, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Chicago, according to Rapoport.
