Report: Manziel rebuffed friends' attempt at intervention

Johnny Manziel's use of alcohol and drugs is worse than ever, and the former NFL quarterback is refusing to seek help, TMZ reports, citing sources close to Manziel.

"He's in a horrible downward spiral," one source said.

A group of Manziel's friends tried to confront him about his substance abuse, but he rejected their attempt to help, TMZ reports.

"He flipped out and would not hear it," a source said.

Manziel's father said in February that he believes his son will die if he doesn't get help. A similar sentiment is pervasive among Manziel's close circle of friends, according to TMZ.
