Bills' Stephon Gilmore: Skipping OTAs
Gilmore (shoulder) will skip the Bills' OTAs while negotiating a long-term extension with the team, NFL.com reports.
Analysis:
Gilmore is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is poised for a lucrative extension after a solid first four seasons in Buffalo. Along with defending 21 passes last season, a figure that ranked just outside the Top 10 league-wide, Gilmore has emerged as the Bills' No. 1 cornerback, an all-important position in head coach Rex Ryan's defense. Until Gilmore signs a new contract, he's expected to remain away from voluntary workouts, such as this week's OTAs.
