It's sounds like a cliche for professional athletes to buy their parents a new home after making it to the big leagues.

In the NFL, unless you were picked among the top spots, that cliche just isn't a reality.

Defensive tackle Damon Harrison was passed over in the 2012 NFL draft, and ended up signing as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets. After a trio of seasons as their starting nose tackle, the 27-year-old earned a reported five-year, $46.25 million contract as a free agent with the New York Giants.

Harrison has been quite proud of his journey from undrafted rookie to sought-after free agent, and on Saturday he achieved his cliched dream, buying his mother a new house.
