Eagles' Jordan Matthews: Building rapport with Bradford

Matthews spent a week working out with quarterback Sam Bradford earlier this offseason, Philly.com reports.

Analysis:

Matthews flew to Oklahoma in March to work out with Bradford in hopes of continuing to build their quarterback-receiver chemistry. Although Bradford's recent trade request, which was later rescinded, briefly made matters contentious between he and the Eagles, Matthews holds no ill-will toward Bradford, and clearly is determined to build on the duo's strong second half of last season. After finishing with 85 catches for 997 yards and eight touchdowns last year, Matthews is expected to start at an unfamiliar outside position this season, so by already working with Bradford, he's prepared for a smoother transition when OTAs begin next week.
