Report: Andre Roberts visiting with Bills, 5-6 other teams interested

The Buffalo Bills will host free-agent wide receiver Andre Roberts on Thursday and Friday, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Bills could have stiff competition for Roberts' services, as five to six other teams are believed to be interested in visiting with him, reports Adam Caplan of ESPN.

Roberts was released by the Washington Redskins on Tuesday after two seasons with the club. He was signed to a big-money deal during the 2014 offseason, but was unable to establish a role in the offense due to the presence of DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon.

The Bills desperately need to add some weapons on the outside. Sammy Watkins is a burgeoning superstar, but will face increasing double teams if Buffalo cannot find other viable receiving threats.

Watkins also broke his foot this offseason, and although he is expected to be ready for the start of the season, it has highlighted the Bills' lack of depth at the position.

Roberts has struggled to produce over the last few seasons, but showed promise earlier in his career. He could be a solid addition as any team's second or third wideout.
