The Los Angeles Rams have reached an agreement with defensive lineman Dominique Easley on a one-year deal, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, citing sources.

Easley was released from the New England Patriots in April after the team reportedly developed concerns about his fit in the dressing room as well as lingering injury issues.

The 24-year-old was selected in the second round of the 2014 draft out of Florida. He had an underwhelming first two NFL seasons, registering only 25 tackles, three sacks, and one interception through 22 games.

The Rams don't currently have a need for starting defensive lineman, with Aaron Donald, Michael Brockers, Robert Quinn, William Hayes, and Quinton Coples set to provide a stout defensive front.

Baring injuries, Easley could provide depth at either defensive tackle or end and will likely be used in pass rush situations. He is the fifth former first-round pick to join the Rams' defensive line.
