Report: Colts' Moncrief underwent toe surgery

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Donte Moncrief underwent surgery for turf toe, according to Stephen Holder of The Indianapolis Star.

Moncrief isn't expected to be out for a prolonged period, per Holder. The 22-year-old was sporting a boot on his foot during Tuesday's organized team activities.

Last season, Moncrief caught 64 passes for 733 yards and six touchdowns, becoming an increasingly important staple of the Colts' passing game.

Moncrief was selected in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Ole Miss.
