49ers' Blaine Gabbert: Will compete for starting quarterback job

Chip Kelly stated that he has "no idea" who will start at quarterback at this time, The Mercury News reports.

Colin Kaepernick never got traded and Gabbert is taking first-team reps during San Francisco's offseason program. The former is still not cleared to participate fully in physical activities, so the depth chart isn't telling at all. Kelly mentioned that when Kaepernick is at 100 percent, then the team will have a competition in camp leading up to the season.
