Corey Coleman agrees with Hue Jackson: 'I've got to get in better shape'

Rookie Cleveland Browns wide receiver Corey Coleman isn't about to start his career off on the wrong side of head coach Hue Jackson.

According to Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot, Coleman admitted to assembled media Saturday, that he was "gassed" during the Browns' first practice. Coleman backed up his coach's assessment of his fitness level, saying "I've got to get in better shape."

Coleman, one of five wide receivers the Browns drafted, is on the same page with Jackson, who said Friday that NFL receivers "have to be able to run all day long". The Baylor product said he had no problem with the public kick in the behind, saying "It's the truth."

The rookie pass-catcher chalked up his lack of stamina to a busy offseason travel schedule but was confident he'd be able to fix the issue as the Browns' workouts continue.

Jackson appears to already be changing the culture in Cleveland as the Browns are in full rebuild mode in 2016. Their revamped offense will likely be run by Robert Griffin III this season, but third-round pick Cody Kessler has impressed in windy conditions over the first few practices.

"I didn't see any issue with his arm strength," Jackson said of Kessler, according to Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram.
